Rove may be disproving Santayana: They have dedicated themselves to learning
from the history of the first President Bush, and yet they seem doomed to
repeat it anyway.
Dowd should be quoting Marx, not Santayana. There
are some reasons not to do this, I suppose. For one, shed probably be wrong on
the facts. That Karl rather optimistically described the second-go-round as
farcical. And, quoting Marx would lead to a flurry of complaints of liberal
bias from the Orwellian guardians of the language. But at least she would avoid
logical error, and as long as Im the logic cop thats the priority.
